- How do I start with Samsom Digital?
You are placing your photo's in your own web album by clicking on create album and you are in business with digital@samsom.com
- How can I get an Album to load up my picture with Samsom Digital?
Go to the Samsom photographic page and subscribe by giving us your personal information (Full name, Address, Email Address and a password.)
As a bonus we will grant you access to a 50mb directory for free for the first month.
- max file size which can be uploaded will be 2mb (2,000kb)
- max album size which can be filled with pictures will be 25mb (25,000kb)
If you would like to have access to your album after the trial month, you will need to have printed at least 40 pictures with our digital printing services.
- What is the maximum size the picture can be when uploading into my webalbum to have it printed?
It should never exceed 2mb .
When downloading the picture from your camera you should not edit it or change the configuration (quality, brightness, etc.), you should just upload the picture as is and we will or can adjust the picture as you would like. You just need to mention it in the comments section when ordering the prints with us.
- What size album or directory will I receive when I sign up with Samsom Digital?
The default size would be 50mb, where you can have an album of a maximum size of 25mb. Each picture you upload in an album would not exceed 2mb. You can always request a larger size directory and we will approve this. This procedure will be applicable in your webalbum account by clicking the " size request ". Once received, we will evaluate and take the necessary steps to give you the Digital Album experience you have never received before.
- What is the size the pictures will have before I send them to you?
Normal :10 x15 cm 350Kb
Medium: 13 x 18 cm 500 Kb
Large:20 x 30 cm 1000 Kb.
You should have ample space to upload your pictures, since the standard web album consists of 50MB. You will receive the WebAlbum for the first month free of charge. REGISTER NOW
- If I see that my pictures that I created with my digital camera are not of good color, should I edit them myself?
Not necessarily. The color of you final print is not per definition the same as on your own screen.
The reason is that the modules of you screen are differently installed then ours.
If we cannot make it better, we will let you know, but if the colors are fine, we can guaranty an excellent print.
- What are the costs for a 10X15 picture?
The cost of a 10x 15 print is the same as in our shops. Nafl 0,65 incl. OB.
- What are the costs of a WebAlbum?
The cost of maintaining your web album, after one month is
50 MB : 2 Ant.Guilders per month
100 MB : 4 Ant.Guilders per month
200 MB : 7 Ant.Guilders per month
400 MB: 12 Ant.Guilders per month
- Payment schedule for Album size:
50mb (50,000kb):
Free: Print at least 40 pictures p/m
Payment in case 40 pictures are not printed and still keep your album active: Nafl. 5,- p/m
100mb (100,000kb):
Free: Print at least 100 pictures p/m
Payment in case 100 pictures are not printed and still keep your album active: Nafl. 10,- p/m
250mb (100,000kb):
Free: Print at least 250 pictures p/m
Payment in case 250 pictures are not printed and still keep your album active: Nafl. 25,- p/m
- How can I terminate my Account or when will my Account be terminated with Digital Samsom:
1. Send us an e-mail at digital@samsom.com using the same e-mail address as you used in your account, requesting termination.
2. When you are not printing the necessary prints mentioned above on a monthly bases, nor paying the fee when not printing for 2 months or more, Didital Samsom will suspend your account.
- How do I need to supply my pictures for you to print them?
You can upload your files in JPEG format. Nearly all digital cameras create a JPEG file when you take a picture with it.
As you know the digital files are in proportions 3 by 4 to fit your screen. Our software will transfer that into 2 by 3 the original photo formats.
- How much time will it take for an order to be printed and where can I pick up my order when it's finfished?

- Will I be able to just simply send you pictures to be printed, without having to create a WebAlbum, etc.?
We have a General Album.
Please follow the following steps to have your pictures printed, without creating your own album:
- Go to the following URL: http://photo.samsom.com
- Login with the user: public@samsom.com
- Use the pwd: 1234
- Create an album
- Upload your pictures
- Order print
After processing your order we will delete the album you created. If you create your own album we will not (see rules/payment schedule above to see the other scenarios).
- What is the limit of pictures you allow to be printed at the same time from your WebAlbum?
There is no maximum. But every order of 40 prints or more will automatically be processed trough our credit card processor.
- On what kind of photo paper do you print my pictures?
For excellent results we print all your pictures on Fuji Archive paper
- Do you offer templates and other special prints with or around my prints?
Besides, photo's in different sizes, we can offer special event makeup's like
- Calendars
- Jubilee cards, etc.

To give you an estimate what it will take you in time to send a file into your WebAlbum:
With a 28.8kbps connection: 2 min.
With a 33.6kbps connection: 1,5 min.
With a 56.6kbps connection: 50 sec.
With a 128kbps connection: 26 sec.
With a 256kbps connection: 10 sec.
